The American International School System Foundation encourages the pursuit of educational excellence at American International School System (AISS) schools, which operate a U.S. educational model in the Middle East, Asia and North Africa. To do so, the AISS Foundation solicits, receives and administers funds in order to provide AISS with support for its academic programs and facilities. The Foundation creates programs and services that foster a favorable image of the United States, increase understanding between the people of the United States and the Arab world, and train independent thinkers to stand up against violence and extremism. Monies raised help fund scholarships for underserved children, adult literacy programs, teacher and administrative training, cross-boarder dialogues, health care and nutrition programs and initiatives that promote The American International School System’s strategic plan. The American International School System Foundation, Inc., is chartered in the State of New Jersey and is a non-profit charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation's elected board of volunteers is an influential group that assumes the fiduciary responsibilities of governing the foundation, serves as advocates for AISS fundraising, and enhances the school's image in the business community, philanthropic circles, government, and general public.
